Rooms on View, South Africa’s finest décor show completed their 9th year at the end of May. “The standard of this year’s show is the highest yet and the response we have had has been overwhelming. The South Africa’s décor industry and has really become a force to be reckoned with and I want to congratulate all the exhibitors who took part in this years show – they should be very proud!” says Sumari Krige Managing director of Rooms on View.
Rooms on View, South Africa’s finest décor show in association with Condé Nast House & Garden and Home Fabrics took place at the Sandton Convention Centre from the 27th to 30th May. Thousands of visitors came to the show to get inspiration for their homes from the 100 exhibitors, to see the latest trends, colours and design and they were not disappointed!
“South Africa has a growing and diverse pool of design talent and Rooms on Views brings the best of this talent under one roof. South African design and décor has been recognised by the rest of the world and we are seeing more and more South African’s getting exposure on the international stage. 2010 is definitely South Africa’s year and what better way to celebrate this at Rooms on Views, just two weeks before the World Cup. Guest of Honour for 2010 was top American designer Vicente Wolf and he did not disappoint. His talks were inspirational and visionary. He joined forces with Top British designer Nina Campbell for two brunches in Johannesburg and Cape Town and guests were blown away by the insights they gave into their work.
Both Nina and Vicente were asked to select the stands they thought were deserving of this years Awards of Excellence:
